Every year CIBSE Ireland asks those in attendance to join the in contributing to their charity of the year. This year we selected a very special charity, the Capuchin Day centre for homeless people. CIBSE Ireland has started to select charities where all the money goes directly to charity, this year CIBSE Ireland is donation €3,000 toward this great cause
The centre was set up in to provide breakfast and dinner to the most vulnerable people in Ireland, they serve up to 300 meals every day, that is just under half of the people in this room tonight.
Jonathan Smyth deputised for Brother Kevin, Jonathan is one of the voluntary councillors who has helped many of the most vulnerable people with mental health and addiction issues.
Together we raise over €14,000 which is the largest collection ever made by CIBSE Ireland and friends. Thank you so much to all who gave so generously. CBSE Ireland presented the check to Brother Kevin who was stunned by the generous donation.
