CIBSE Ireland’s annual Young Engineers Network (YEN) Five-a-side Soccer tournament got under last month

CIBSE Ireland’s annual Young Engineers Network (YEN) Five-a-side Soccer tournament got under last month. With 8 teams scheduled to battle it out in a round robin series it was Tech Refigeration who rised to the top as overall winners on the day.

Thanks to Michael McCarty of Versatile who sponsored the event on the day and to Adam Dent YEN Chair and Project Manager at Kerrigan Mechanical who organized the whole event along with Aaron Brogan of Project Engineer at Tritech Engineering.

While the spirit of the competition is one of fun and good-natured rivalry, the desire to win soon takes over with some of the games becoming fiercely contested. That said, once teams leave the pitch all the niggles, slights and individual battles are soon forgotten.

After the presentation of the trophy everyone adjourned to the Bar for food, refreshments, some teasing and networking.
