With the 1st November 2019 application date for the amendments to Part L and Part F of the Building Regulations fast approaching, architects and consulting engineers need to be aware of the significance of the proposed changes. The fact that they are being simultaneously applied is also important as, to successfully deliver NZEB, it is necessary that Part L and Part F work hand-in-hand.

To help specifying professionals understand the implications of the amendments, CIBSE Ireland will host a free-to-attend Breakfast Briefing in partnership with the DHPLG at Architecture & Building Expo in the Main Hall, RDS, at 10am on the first day of the show (4/5 October 2019). Complimentary tea/coffee/croissants on arrival. Attendance is free but places are limited.

To detail and explain the changes, and to offer guidance in understanding them, Emmanuel Bourdin, Advisor in the Built Environment Advisory Unit of the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, will give the main presentation at the Breakfast Briefing.

Emmanuel works on regulations and standards related to Part J, Part L and Part F of the Buildings Regulations for Dwellings and supports the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. His insights will be invaluable for specifying architects and consulting engineers in understanding and complying with the amendments to Part L and Part F. His presentation will cover:
